A Space For Change
Welcome to this website. My name is Olivier Droillard. I am a fully accredited psychotherapist, counsellor and art therapist with a practice in Stoke Newington, Hackney and online.
I know the process of looking for the right psychotherapist or counsellor can be daunting. Yet it is important because there is much healing and learning to be gained from an authentic encounter with another person. I hope this website can give you a better sense of who I am as a person and also about how I work.
I bring warmth, insights and creativity to a safe space where you are free to share all of your hurts, dreams and challenges.
I want to work alongside you to bring about a greater awareness of yourself, a clearer understanding of your relationships and a renewed confidence to improve your life.
I strive to help you navigate through whatever you bring to our sessions with the appropriate mix of warmth and challenge. I am a "fellow traveller" keen to understand how you think and what you want. By virtue of a safe and supportive relationship, you will gain tools to help you find a new sense of clarity and confidence in your life. Together we will redefine what can support you on your path and infuse a renewed energy towards cherished long-term goals.
When words fail you or you feel stuck, I believe that the use of the arts offer the potential to greatly deepen our work together. No prior experience or artistic skills is necessary for this approach. Soon you may find it a great source of support in the process of expressing your feelings and of deepening your self-awareness.
I am experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties with:
Stress
Relationships
Midlife
Transition
Anxiety
Bereavement
Redundancy
Depression
Addiction
About
Originally from France, I have made this great city of London my home for over 30 years. I have a Masters degree in Art, Design and Visual Culture and I have been working as a freelance Product designer since 2004.
In 2009 I came across the contagious enthusiasm of Jeremy Gilley, filmmaker and founder of the non-profit organisation Peace One day . This galvanised me to start volunteering in the charity sector and led me to working creatively with young people at CHIVA, the Children HIV Association. This is what inspired me to dive more deeply into the complexity of our human experiences.
I am proud of the cutting edge and challenging programme I attended at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education. Not only did it provide me with the skills to make a real difference to other people’s lives but it deeply enriched and enhanced my creative practice and my life in general.

I also have a dog and two cats who can be very therapeutic in their own way but can be kept away if preferred.
Sessions cost £80 and last 50 minutes.

If it feels right for you we can then arrange to meet for a first session.
